  • Life Changer

I continue to be astounded by the quality and caliber of the writing featured on AUDM. Everyone that I’ve recommended the app to has similarly been converted into zealous followers and the result, so rare in our social/new media environment, is the promotion of off-line discussion and genuine community—precisely what this fraught moment most urgently demands.

I love Audm, it makes my day to day grind infinitely better by allowing me to administrate my life while listening to long form. I can listen to Julia Whelan’s voice for days. Good content selection/variety. 5 stars.

This is the best app out there. Definitely worth the fee. I love this app so so so so much! Thank you for making it!
  • Giving up podcasts

I love a couple of hours before bedtime hearing interesting magazine articles. Since Audm I’ve just about given up podcasts.
  • Great idea but poor execution

What a promising app this is but alas it’s terribly executed from a dev perspective. If you pause and navigate to another application the app stops working all together for sometimes minutes and other times hours. Usually restarting your phone works but clearly not what anyone is in the mood to do. In addition the Download feature doesn’t actually download on your phone for offline access. After you download and try to access offline (on a plane for ex), it tries to buffer and connect with predictably no result. Often though downloaded content disappears all together. Sighhhh I had major hopes for Audm :/
  • Curio is better software

I wish I could bookmark articles to listen to later without the app automatically downloading them. Still, this app is much much better than it used to be (frequent crashing and losing track of progress) and I appreciate the improvements.
  • Needs better integration with iOS, but still great

I listen to this all the time, and as a result am much better informed. However this needs better integration with iOS so you do not have to keep returning to the app to restart a story or move to a new one. It also needs a Watch app.

I feel like I’m living my dream. Being visually impaired, there are times when I feel boring and uninformed and rely on a few smart friends to read the Atlantic or the New Yorker. This app makes me feel complete. Thank you!

I’m a big fan of audible, it allows me to “read” many more books than I have time to, listening to anything that strikes my fancy. As soon as the New Yorker started the experiment online with the long form podcasts I jumped to get Audm! What could be better? I am writing this because I think it could be better. My chief complaint is with some of the readers. It’s really hit or miss with certain ones simply ruining the experience for me. I like the quirkinesses if some of the articles. Audm had a great start. But now I find myself getting frustrated with the presentation. I wind up cutting it off in the middle-going to a new book in audible. I keep checking Audm. I see this app as a work in progress.

Audm is a fraud. Limited and lame articles. Impossible to get rid of and to stop access and stop them stealing your money
